On page optimization

On page Optimization refers to coding on your page, or the content & the structure of your website.
It involves effective keywords and non-redundant text created using the keywords.
Some points to keep in mind while doing on-site optimization:
  1. Each page should be targeted with 2-4 keywords directly connected to your contents. you can also split the contents on another page if you find the need to add more keywords to the page.
  2. It is very important to have keywords in the URL(Uniform Resource Locator) seperated by hyphens (-) as it will enhance your website's visibility on search engines.
  3. Some search engines give more priority to the beginning of the page and some index only a limited amount of body text. So try to make first paragraph of webpage more punchy.
  4. Use of html headings like H1,H2,H3,H4,H5,H6 is must. Content must be properly structured with these headings using effective keywords as search engines would be attracted to these keywords.
  5. Do not use too many keywords on a page as it can lead to spamming and may dilute the focus.
